  • L’Immagine Ritrovata received the Honorary Award of the 11th edition of the Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote

L’Immagine Ritrovata received the Honorary Award of the 11th edition of the Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote

On November the 24th, L'Immagine Ritrovata has been glad to receive through the hands of its deputy director, Elena Tammaccaro, the Honorary Award from the 11th edition of the Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote.

"This award seeks to distance itself in each edition from the great names of film direction and acting, in order to value those professions that make the creation of cinema possible, but that are not as known by the general public."

Marco Arrocha, member of the Association Tenique Cultural and co-founder of the Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote, declared: “As in previous years, when the prize was awarded to Jörg Schmidt-Reitwein, German cinematographer; Margrit and Peter Sickert, film poster designers, or Claudio Utrera, creator of the Las Palmas International Film Festival, in this edition we wanted to celebrate the work of an institution little known to the general public; a laboratory that is a benchmark in the preservation of cultural heritage worldwide”

The award consisted of a special wine from the Bodegas el Grifo: “We like that the award is not a trophy to keep, but something to enjoy. Wine is an invitation to celebrate a work that promotes historical heritage. It is something that synthesizes the uniqueness of Lanzarote, its volcanic identity, its temperature and its culture, commented Javier Fuentes Feo, president of the Association Tenique Cultural and director of the Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote.
